The Cards
A loaf of bread is gone by nightfall. The card inside it is meant to outlast everyone who holds it. You see it face-down, the way it comes in the box — tilt it in the light, then turn it over and meet the saint.

Would it hang in a museum,
be treasured by a child,
and be framed by a collector?
If any one is in doubt, the card is not done. Each is a real, individual face whose gaze meets you — painted in the grammar of the sacred icon: a gold-leaf ground, light that rises from within, the attribute offered in gesture. A thing to play, a thing to collect, a thing to keep.
An honest note on the art
What you turn over is the frame and direction at full quality — every part of the card except the final painted illustration. The art window is a clean slot: a commissioned painter (beginning with Miriam, per the master brief) or a tightly art-directed image pass drops straight in, and the object you feel here carries it. The relic is one painting away.
